Companions in Waiting success stories
Gracee
In July 2009, a litter of 7 very young kittens were rescued in Pacifica. The person who found them couldn't help them but a marvellous helper was found. One kitten found its "forever" family when it was quite young and five more of the kittens found their "foever" famiies in due course. The remaining kitten (Gracee) of the litter was a healthy, well-sociaized kitten who was ready to be in her own home but no family came looking for her. One day we had a phone call. The lady on the other end of the phone said that they were looking for a "dog friendly " cat to join their family and did we have one. Boy did we have one! When the family met Gracee, they decided she was just the kitty they had been looking for. Less than a week after joining her family, we had a call from Gracee's new Mom. She reported that Gracee wasn't "dog friendly" - she was "dog crazy"! She loved her canine big sister. These two sleep together; their legs over one another. This was the family that Gracee had been waiting for! Perfect!!
