Luna's Story

Two year old Luna came to one of our local animal shelters as a stray. The shelter environment was not the best one for Luna but Companions in Waiting saw a ton of possibilities in her. She is a dream to walk, even on a very busy coastal trail - bikes, kids, strollers, dogs - no problem! Luna is just thrilled to be out and about and happy to walk nicely on leash, sniffing and cocking her head at the sound of birds. That said, she comes from a herding dog background and as a result can be a bit nippy when excited. It is important that herding dogs have a job, we are looking for an active, single dog-experienced home, with children 10 years old or older, that can give Luna a job (like agility).  Once she is tired she will flop down contentedly at your feet. Luna has in-home good manners. Her greatest skill is worming her way into hearts very quickly. She is spayed, microchipped, and up-to-date on all of her vaccinations.  She's an absolute doll that has a new lease on life and is looking to spend her years in a loving forever home. Might that be your home?
