Jaxon's Story
Jaxon has been through more transitions than is ideal for his young age and as a result has developed a common case of separation anxiety - meaning when his people leave, he gets very anxious. His first family had a child with a disability and surrendered him to a local shelter for lack of time. A second family's situation changed and they could no longer care for him, so back to the shelter he went. A 3rd foster situation had him returned to the shelter in less than 24 hours. That's a lot of swirl for a youngster in need of stability, structure, daily exercise and, most important, a need to be a central part of the family. CIW immediately saw huge potential in this handsome, smart, all around good boy. After only 3 weeks in a stable foster home he made huge progress, much quicker than most dogs with this condition, and he's learning more every day. He will need experienced humans to help him overcome his anxiety with being left alone and who can provide for his needs as referenced above. In return, he will make a fine and fun addition to the family. Jaxon is current with his vaccinations, is neutered and micro-chipped. His hobbies are: turning heads on the coastal trail, lapping up the attention he gets out in the big world, playing with doggie friends at the beach, and convincing you 85 lbs does indeed make a lap dog. *Ideally potential adopters could arrange to not leave Jaxon alone for the first week they have him, to avoid any re-traumatization at being left too early and too long
**A home with other stable dog(s) would be ideal as Jackson cue's well off of other, mature dogs
