Nemo's Story
Minty was adopted as a young kitten by a family. He was kept as an indoor kitten until he was 3 years old. Then a baby joined the family and a dog and Minty was introduced to the outdoors. The only problem was that Minty and the dog had a love/hate relationship. Minty didn't mind the dog but every time Minty wanted to go into the house, the dog chased him away. Until one day Minty just didn't try to go home. For two years Minty survived on the charity of neighbors until one day one of the neighbors rescued him and brought him to CIW. Minty has a micro-chip and we were able to trace him back to his first family. They loved him and would have taken him back but they realized that if he came back, he and the dog would still be at odds and Minty would run away again. So they did what was best for Minty and let him become a CIW kitty with the knowledge that we would find him a loving home where he be loved and cared-for and safe. This wonderful boy is a great companion who loves to be brushed, have belly rubs and talk to his person. He is now current with his vaccinations, is neutered, and has tested negative for feline aids and feline leukemia. Now Minty just needs to find that special family meant for him. Is that your family?
